Saturday 5 May - Craigavon Protestant Boys - Lurgan
For the second time in eight days, the band returned to Lurgan for the annual parade of Craigavon Protestant Boys, where 25 bands were in attendance.
Notably, crowd numbers were lower than what was in the town the previous week for Star of the North's parade. The parade got under way at about 7.30pm
with the host band parading their home town, with increased members - which is obviously good to see for any band. Rain threatened to fall during the night,
with it eventually falling near the end of the parade.
With an increase in members, we paraded with 2 colour party, 1 drum major, 8 drums and 18 flutes; an overall total of 30 members. Admittedly, we
did not play as well as we did the night before, but still at a reasonable standard.
Quite a number of the bands on parade, including Kilcluney Volunteers, Armagh True Blues and Pride of the Hill Carnmoney set out early as they were off to another parade on the Shankill Road, as hosted by Sons of Ulster - who were all sounding well.
From the smaller bands, both Rising Sons of William Cormeen and Pride of the Frontier Drumhillery put on an impressive display.
