The bus that transported our members to a competition in a County Down village was attacked on Saturday night.
The incident happened as the band was taking part in the parade held by Annalong Single Star Flute Band.
Three windows were smashed by bricks as the bus parked in a car park off Glassdrummond Road.
A PSNI vehicle was parked close to the bus, but was vacant at the time of the attack.
Thankfully, no one was injured in what is believed to have been a sectarian attack. Police are investigating.

A total of 58 bands were represented at our 2009 Annual Band Parade and Competition; 55 visiting bands, 2 Colour Parties and ourselves.
Thank you to all band members, their supporters and the general public for their contribution into making our parade a great sucess, and the biggest parade in Portadown for many years.
The biggest parade in Portadown is set to take place this Friday night, 14th August.
Portadown Defenders Flute Band will be holding their annual band parade and competition in the town, where around 50 bands from across Northern Ireland and Scotland are expected.
A selection of Melody Flute, Blood and Thunder Flute and Accordion will be on display.
The parade starts at 7pm at Joseph Street, heading through the town, Armagh Road, Jervis Street, West Street, Market Street, High Street, Castle Street, Bridge Street before finishing at Watson Street.
Members of the hosts will be having a street collection on the night, with all proceeds going towards the band.
Pride of the Hill Flute, Rathfriland will again be challenging for the Best Overall band title, which they won last year when 47 bands attended.
Tuesday 28 July 2009
Preparations are well under way as the band plan for their annual band parade and competition, which is taking place on Friday 14 August 2009.
Around 50 bands are expected to descend on the town centre, making the biggest parade in Portadown in quite a number of years. A wide variety of bands are expected including Blood and Thunder Flute, Melody Flute and Accordion. Our Scottish friends, Sons of William Flute Band, Glenmavis will again be taking part in the parade.
The parade starts at Jospeh Street, Portadown with PDFB parading the route at 7pm. A disco organised by the band will take place in Jameson's Bar, Thomas Street after the parade.
Thursday 16 July 2009
The two biggest days in the marching calendar have now successfully passed. This year it was up to Armagh District No. 5 to hold the County Armagh LOL Demonstration in the Cathedral City. The band had a 100% turnout in Armagh, consisting of 5 Colour Party, 3 Drum Majors, 14 Drums, 2 Bass Drummers and 27 Flutes; 51 in total. A new bass drum was also presented on the morning of the 13th (12th) to the band chairman who has dedicated 25 years membership to the band.
The following day, the band took part in the Royal Black Preceptory parade in Scarva. Around 100,000 people squeezed into the village to watch the parade. A similar band to the day before was on parade, and the high standard was still maintained.
Also don't forget to check out the Video page, where several videos have been added from the two days.
Tuesday 9 June 2009
With already 20 parades completed, the band is enjoying the 2009 season. Thankfully there are a lot more positives than negatives this year, and the increased membership is probably to blame.
The average turnout for the 20 parades is 37 members; 2 Colour Party, 10 Drums, 21 Flutes, 2 Drum Majors and 2 Bass Drummers.
PDFB are also gaining more recognition this year, which shows that the band is steadily improving. In half the year, the band has matched the trophy count of last year. Though it's not all about trophies and the winning - it's about the taking part.
Videos of the band are always being added to the website - these can be found on the Downloads > Videos page.
Also if you are in touch with your social networking side, why don't you follow the band using the various sites on the left?
Wednesday 18 March 2009 And so our 2009 season kicked off last night for our annual St Patrick's Day visit to the village of Killylea. Cormeen Rising Sons of William's were the hosts, as they held their annual band parade.
We paraded with a total of 40 members, up 12 on the year previous, with 2 Drum Majors, 12 Drums, 1 Bass Drummer and 25 flutes - so things are looking positive for the year ahead.
