With already 20 parades completed, the band is enjoying the 2009 season. Thankfully there are a lot more positives than negatives this year, and the increased membership is probably to blame.
The average turnout for the 20 parades is 37 members; 2 Colour Party, 10 Drums, 21 Flutes, 2 Drum Majors and 2 Bass Drummers.
PDFB are also gaining more recognition this year, which shows that the band is steadily improving. In half the year, the band has matched the trophy count of last year. Though it's not all about trophies and the winning - it's about the taking part.
Videos of the band are always being added to the website - these can be found on the Downloads > Videos page.
Also if you are in touch with your social networking side, why don't you follow the band using the various sites on the left?
Wednesday 18 March 2009 And so our 2009 season kicked off last night for our annual St Patrick's Day visit to the village of Killylea. Cormeen Rising Sons of William's were the hosts, as they held their annual band parade.
We paraded with a total of 40 members, up 12 on the year previous, with 2 Drum Majors, 12 Drums, 1 Bass Drummer and 25 flutes - so things are looking positive for the year ahead.
Thursday 19 February 2009 Our Annual Parade and Competition was previously advertised as being held on Friday 21 August 2009. It will now in fact, be held the week previous on Friday 14 August 2009.
Thursday 29 January 2009 Our 2009 Parades List has now been uploaded. Check it out here.
